Jetavana, Buddhist monastery in India
Jetavana was one of the most famous of the Buddhist monasteries in India.
It was the second monastery donated to Buddha, after the Veluvana in Rajagaha.
Jetavana is significant in the teachings of Buddhism as many discourses were held here.
Today, it's a pilgrimage site with remains of old structures and stupas.
The Jetavana monastery complex was said to have contained 8 large ponds.
