Banganga Tank, Holy water tank in Mumbai, India
The Banganga Tank is an ancient water tank which is part of the Walkeshwar Temple Complex in Malabar Hill area of Mumbai.
Built in 1127 AD, it is believed to be an integral part of the creation of Mumbai.
It is a significant cultural spot where many annual music and cultural festivals are held.
Visitors can feed the thousands of pigeons that gather here daily.
Despite being surrounded by modern skyscrapers, the tank maintains its historical charm.
