The land, originally called Arathakuttai, transformed from a large pond to a park through donations from Ramayamma Pantulu, Aravamutha Iyengar, and Nainiappa Mudaliar.
The park functions as a center for traditional Indian music performances, hosting regular kutcheris concerts and community gatherings throughout the year.
Visitors can access the park daily from 5 AM to 8 PM, with dedicated areas for morning walks and evening recreational activities.
A composting system established in 2009 processes garden waste collected from eight designated bins, supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.
