Kharagpur Junction is a railway station in Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. The facility extends roughly 3500 feet (1070 meters), features twelve platforms and twenty-four tracks, and connects several main lines in the eastern part of the country.
The Bengal Nagpur Railway opened the station in 1898 as part of the new line to Cuttack. Operations began on January 1, 1899, making Kharagpur an important junction for rail traffic in this region.
