Dorudzan Dam, Earth-fill dam and hydroelectric station in Marvdasht County, Iran.
The Dorudzan Dam extends 710 meters in length and rises 58 meters high, with a reservoir capacity of 960 million cubic meters at an elevation of 1676 meters.
The construction and inauguration of Dorudzan Dam in 1971 marked a significant advancement in Iran's infrastructure development for water management and power generation.
This infrastructure project represents Iran's commitment to renewable energy solutions while supporting the agricultural practices of local communities through irrigation systems.
The facility generates 10 megawatts of hydroelectric power while providing water supply for irrigation to 110,000 hectares of agricultural land in the surrounding region.
The dam's position on the Kor River enables it to control water flow from the Zagros Mountains drainage basin, supporting multiple cities including Marvdasht, Zaghan, and Shiraz.
