On ibn Ali's shrine

The shrine contains two tombs and features six domes with two minarets situated on the northern slope of Mount Eynali in Tabriz.

The structure began as a Zoroastrian fire temple and transformed into a mosque during the Rashidun conquest before becoming a shrine in the Ilkhanate period.

The mausoleum serves as a central spiritual location for Twelver Shia Muslims who visit the tombs of Awn and Zayd, sons of Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Visitors can access the shrine complex through multiple entrances and observe the traditional Persian architectural elements throughout the building structure.

The shrine underwent reconstruction after an earthquake in 1641 destroyed the original structure, leading to modifications during the Qajar period.
