Mohammad Taghi Khan Bafqi established the garden in 1747 after Nader Shah's death, constructing an underground aqueduct to bring water from Mehriz.
The garden exemplifies traditional Iranian landscaping principles through its symmetrical layout, water channels, and the integration of natural elements with architectural structures.
Visitors can access multiple sections of the garden, including the mirror hall, water features, and the 33-meter-high windcatcher that provides natural cooling.
The garden contains the world's tallest adobe windcatcher, measuring 33.8 meters in height, which continues to function as an environmental cooling system.
