The small mountain settlement stands at 1815 meters altitude, offering a network of pedestrian streets surrounded by Alpine meadows and forests.

Local residents made a conscious decision in 1955 to establish a cable car system rather than construct roads, preserving the village's natural environment.

The annual 'Il gusto di una passeggiata' event in August presents local crafts, gastronomy, and folk performances along the path connecting to La Magdeleine.

Access to the village requires using the cable car from Buisson, which operates every 30 minutes throughout the year with extended hours on weekends.

The settlement maintains its motor vehicle prohibition, permitting only tractors during summer months for essential agricultural activities.
