Guastalla, Renaissance town in Po Valley, Italy

The urban center of Guastalla extends along both sides of the Po River, containing historical buildings and wide squares across 52 square kilometers.

The Gonzaga family transformed Guastalla into a duchy in 1621, establishing it as their residence and attracting numerous artists to the region.

The Cathedral of Guastalla, built in the 16th century, displays Renaissance architecture with a Latin cross plan and multiple side chapels.

The town provides direct train connections to Parma and Suzzara, with regular bus services connecting to neighboring municipalities in the Po Valley.
