Mount Fumaiolo, Mountain summit in Province of Forlì-Cesena, Italy.
Mount Fumaiolo is a summit in the Province of Forlì-Cesena that reaches 1407 meters in elevation. Dense beech forests cover its slopes, and the peak sits at a natural boundary where three regions converge.
The location served historically as a border zone between different territories. In 1923, a marble monument was erected near the summit to mark the source of the Tiber River, decorated with Roman symbols.
The mountain hosts traditional events including the 1091 Beer Festival and the Palio della Bigoncia, where locals perform in historical costumes.
The site is best reached via the A14 motorway, taking the Cesena Nord exit. Parking is available for those driving, and the location is easily accessible with good road connections.
Two major river systems originate on this mountain: the Tiber flows toward Rome while the Savio flows to the Adriatic. Both rivers start on the same slopes before heading in opposite directions.
