The National Archaeological Museum occupies the Renaissance Palazzo Costabili, displaying extensive collections of Etruscan artifacts discovered in the ancient city of Spina.
The museum opened in 1935 to showcase findings from Spina, an Etruscan settlement that prospered between the 6th and 3rd centuries BC near modern Comacchio.
The exhibition features Attic vases, gold jewelry, and bronze objects that demonstrate the strong trade connections between Spina and ancient Greece.
Located in central Ferrara, the museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 9:30 AM and 5:00 PM, offering reduced prices for young adults.
Two preserved Roman monohull boats from the 3rd-4th century BC, discovered in 1948 in the Isola Valley, are displayed on the ground floor.
