Palazzo Borghese, Renaissance palazzo in Campo Marzio, Rome, Italy
The palace spans a large irregular block with facades on Via di Ripetta, Via dell'Arancio, Via di Monte d'Oro, and Via Borghese.
Cardinal Camillo Borghese acquired the building in 1596 and initiated extensive renovations after becoming Pope Paul V in 1605.
The interior features the Bagno di Venere, a nymphaeum decorated with statues, ornate fountains, and a courtyard containing ninety-six classical columns.
The first floor currently houses the Hunting Club, while the Ripetta wing serves as the Spanish Embassy's headquarters since the 1940s.
The building earned the nickname 'Cembalo' due to its unusual floor plan resembling the shape of a harpsichord musical instrument.
