Romito Cave

Romito Cave is an archaeological site with an inner chamber and a large rock shelter where ancient engravings cover the walls. The location has been carefully excavated and reveals evidence of human presence from different periods in prehistory.

The cave was discovered in 1961 and provided evidence of human activity spanning thousands of years. Excavations uncovered burials and tools that document the daily life of people from that distant time.
