Sant'Agostino, Gothic church in Siena, Italy

The Sant'Agostino church features a single nave with numerous altars made of polychrome marble and stucco statues along its walls.

Construction of Sant'Agostino began in 1258 and continued for five decades, with major restoration work by Luigi Vanvitelli following a fire in 1747.

The church contains significant artworks including the Baptism of Constantine by Francesco Vanni and Trinity and Saints altarpiece by Pietro Sorri.

Visitors enter through the Collegio Tolomei hall to access the church interior, which displays Renaissance paintings and Gothic architectural elements.

The Bichi Chapel holds rare frescoes by Luca Signorelli and contains a statue of Saint Christopher created by Francesco di Giorgio.
