Lago di Viverone

Lake Viverone sits at the border between the provinces of Biella, Turin, and Vercelli, forming the largest basin in the Ivrea moraine system. The shoreline includes various areas for swimming, boat rentals, and water sports, with facilities distributed across the entire waterfront.

Archaeological digs have uncovered Bronze Age stilt-house remains that show people settled here long ago. These discoveries reveal early human activity in this region.

The north shore is lined with restaurants and small kiosks where people gather to enjoy traditional Piedmontese food and celebrate regional festivals. These gathering spots form the heart of social life around the lake.

The lake has multiple access points for swimmers, and facilities are spread so you can easily reach different shore areas. It's best to visit during warmer months when all activities are in full swing.

The southern shore holds marshes and meadows that provide winter shelter for birds, creating a quiet contrast to the busy beaches on the other side. This natural area remains protected and less visited.
