Grand Hotel Toblach

Grand Hotel Toblach is a building at the entrance of Höhlenstein Valley with decorative details and large windows across its white exterior. Today it serves multiple purposes: a youth hostel, music school, nature park information center, and conference rooms share the space.

The Austrian Southern Railway Company built this hotel in 1878 to attract more passengers to their newly built railroad line through South Tyrol. The project was part of efforts to develop the region through rail transportation at that time.
