Museum Bandini

The Bandini Museum spans 300 square meters and contains medieval Florentine paintings, Byzantine works, and Della Robbia terracotta sculptures across multiple exhibition halls.

Canon Angelo Maria Bandini established his collection in 1795 at Sant'Ansano church, which later moved to the current building designed by Giuseppe Castellucci in 1913.

The museum exhibits gold-ground works from Italian primitives, crucifixion paintings from the 13th century, and marble sculptures from the Florentine Renaissance period.

The first floor displays a collection of medieval sacred art, including a polychrome terracotta statue of Madonna and Child attributed to Filippo Brunelleschi.
