Pizzo Dosdè, Mountain summit in Sondrio, Italy

Pizzo Dosdè rises to 3,280 meters in the Livigno Alps, featuring a distinct pyramid shape with three ridges extending from its central peak.

The first documented ascent of Pizzo Dosdè occurred on August 14, 1879, when mountaineers K. Heumann and L. Giacometti successfully reached the summit.

The mountain derives its name from Alpe Dosdè, referring to the surrounding meadows, and forms part of a circular mountain chain with Corno di Dosdè.

Climbers access Pizzo Dosdè from Val Viola, starting at Arnoga hamlet via a seasonal paved road operating from mid-April through mid-November.

The Rifugio Federico mountain shelter at 2,133 meters and Caldarini bivouac at 2,556 meters provide accommodation options for mountaineers exploring the area.
