Acquaworld is a water facility in Concorezzo with indoor and outdoor sections featuring pools, slides, and play areas for swimming and recreation. The complex divides into separate zones, each designed for different types of water activities and age groups.
Acquaworld opened in summer 2011 with only its fun area in operation. On 1 October of the same year the wellness area was inaugurated, with a ribbon-cutting by Roberto Formigoni, then president of the Lombardy region. It was built as Italy's first indoor water park, covering 35,000 m² in Concorezzo, province of Monza and Brianza.
The park's three transparent domes are made of ETFE, a fluorine-based polymer also used for the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Water Cube in Beijing. The wellness area opened on 1 October 2011, when Roberto Formigoni, then president of Lombardy, cut the ribbon.
