Chiostro di Santa Patrizia, Religious cloister in Naples, Italy

The monastery complex contains two cloisters featuring baroque fountains decorated with masks, dolphins, and sea horses carved in stone.

The cloister was founded by nuns who escaped from Constantinople in the 13th century, carrying the relics of Saint Gregory with them.

The site preserves an old convent bakery with original cooking equipment, offering insights into the daily activities of past religious communities.

The oval cupola above the choir stall includes specific windows that allowed ill nuns to participate in Mass from their rooms.

Every Tuesday, visitors can witness the phenomenon of Santa Patrizia's powdered blood liquefaction, which occurs more frequently than San Gennaro's.
