Palazzo Barracco, 18th-century palace in Crotone, Italy.

Palazzo Barracco is an 18th-century palace in Crotone with marble construction and an attached garden. The building sits in Piazza Castello within the historic center and offers views toward both the sea and mountains.

The palace began construction in 1738 when grain merchant Domenico Aniello Farina combined several existing houses on the site. The overall project reached completion around 1744, creating a substantial building in the city.

The building now houses the Museum of Contemporary Art Krotone, showcasing local artistic works. These exhibitions allow visitors to discover the artistic variety of the Calabria region directly.

The palace sits centrally on Piazza Castello and is easily reached on foot from the city center. Visitors should explore the steep lanes around the square, as they form part of experiencing the historic area.

King Ferdinand II of Bourbon selected this palace for his stay during his visit to the region in 1833. This choice reflects the building's importance among local structures at that time.
