Pinacoteca civica di Ascoli Piceno

The Pinacoteca Civica occupies the Palazzo dell'Arengo, displaying over 800 artworks across multiple rooms decorated with pink marble floors and Murano chandeliers.

The museum opened on August 4, 1861, through the efforts of Giorgio Paci and Giulio Gabrielli, who gathered art from local monasteries after religious orders ceased.

The collection includes significant works by Italian masters Carlo Crivelli, Cola dell'Amatrice, and Guido Reni, representing different periods of Italian art development.

Visitors can explore the museum from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM, with regular admission at 8 euros and reduced rates available.

The museum holds a 13th-century chasuble presented to Ascoli Cathedral by Pope Nicholas IV in 1288, marking its connection to papal history.
