Villa Garzoni, Renaissance villa in Pontecasale, Candiana, Italy.

Villa Garzoni is a country house in Candiana with distinctive double loggias featuring five arches on each floor. The property includes stables, outbuildings, and protective walls that surround both the main residence and the agricultural lands belonging to the estate.

The Garzoni family hired architect Jacopo Sansovino in 1527 to design this residence after draining the swampy lands surrounding it. This land reclamation project made the property suitable for farming and allowed the construction of a major estate.

The villa brought classical architectural styles to the countryside, becoming a model for wealthy families who wanted to modernize their estates. Its refined design showed that rural properties could be as sophisticated as urban palaces.

The property is well organized, with clear zones for residential and agricultural functions that are straightforward to explore. The surrounding walls help visitors understand the full extent and layout of the complex.

Inside the complex sits a small chapel with original stucco decorations created according to designs by Jacopo Sansovino himself. These ornaments display the craftsmanship and artistic vision the architect brought to every aspect of the property.
