Villa Ginori, Renaissance villa in Doccia district of Sesto Fiorentino, Italy.

Villa Ginori is a Renaissance villa in the Doccia district of Sesto Fiorentino with a south-facing main facade featuring a first-floor loggia and large arched windows. The grounds include geometric citrus groves, Italian gardens, and extensive woodland paths that link it to neighboring properties.

The Della Tosa family established the original structure in the 14th century before the Ginori family acquired it and expanded it from 1525 onwards. The family shaped the estate over centuries and made it one of the region's significant properties.

The chapel holds remarkable ceiling frescoes and an altar piece by Luigi Sabatelli, created when the villa was at its height of importance. These painted works remain central to the interior's character today.

Access to the estate comes through the Via Piana road, which also connects to neighboring lands for exploration. Plan time for wandering through the gardens and woodland paths since the grounds are quite extensive.

Carlo Ginori founded one of Florence's leading botanical gardens in 1730, importing rare plant and fish species from China and Japan. This collector's passion made the estate an important center for botanical study and plant knowledge.
