Villa Plinianina

Villa Plinianina is a four-story stone residence on Lake Como's western shore, built with a central loggia framed by paired columns and arranged rows of windows across its facade. The structure combines classical architectural elements with the natural setting of the lakeside location.

The villa was built between 1574 and 1577 by Count Giovanni Anguissola, who incorporated an ancient spring known to Roman writers Pliny the Elder and Younger. This construction period reflects the height of Renaissance development around Lake Como.
