Villa Plinianina, Renaissance villa in Torno, Italy

The four-story stone villa rises along Lake Como's western shore, featuring a central loggia supported by paired columns and multiple window rows.

Count Giovanni Anguissola constructed Villa Pliniana between 1574 and 1577, incorporating an ancient spring mentioned by Roman writers Pliny the Elder and Younger.

The villa's halls contain numerous artworks, including the 1818 portrait of Cristina Belgioioso painted by Francesco Hayez.

Villa Pliniana operates as a luxury accommodation venue with multiple suites, a wellness center, and spa facilities overlooking Lake Como.

The villa encloses an intermittent karst spring that mysteriously fills and empties according to natural underground water movements.
