Museo delle arti in ghisa nella Maremma

The museum occupies the restored Forno San Ferdinando building within the former Ilva foundries complex, presenting exhibits about metalworking and industrial heritage.

The museum started in 1998 and received its official inauguration in 2013, marking a transformation from an industrial site to a cultural institution.

The exhibits include iron and cast iron artworks, wooden models, decorative elements, and a collection of historical work tools from local foundries.

From September to June, visitors can explore the museum Tuesday through Sunday between 15:30 and 19:00, with special summer evening hours in July and August.

The museum features interactive installations where visitors learn about iron processing through hands-on experiences and audiovisual presentations in the former furnace spaces.
