Castello d'Altaguardia is a castle ruin in Bresimo sitting at approximately 1,280 meters (4,200 feet) elevation with views across the Val di Non valley. The fortress began as a watchtower during prehistoric times and served as a strategic outpost for the Livo family. When the Thun family took control, they partially converted it into a residential stronghold.
