Castello di Drena, Medieval castle and historical park museum in Drena, Italy
The castle rises 25 meters above ground with a central tower and double defensive walls, offering views over the Sarca Valley and Marocche desert.
Built in the 12th century, the castle controlled the strategic route between Trento and Lake Garda until its partial destruction by General Vendome's troops in 1703.
The castle exhibits medieval cooking tools, ancient artifacts, and architectural elements from both Romanesque and Gothic periods within its preserved stone walls.
The castle opens daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM between November and December, with regular admission at €4.00 and reduced tickets at €3.00.
The fortress stands above a prehistoric settlement near the Marocche desert, a 200-hectare field of boulders formed during the Ice Age.
