San Martino basilica, Minor basilica in Alzano Lombardo, Italy

Located at the intersection of Via Fantoni and Via Roma in Piazza Italia, the basilica features three naves supported by white marble columns.

Construction began in 1659 following merchant Nicolò Valle's donation of 70,000 gold scudi, with architect Gerolamo Quadrio leading the project design.

Pope Pius XI elevated the church to the status of minor basilica in 1922, recognizing its religious importance in the Bergamo province.

The adjacent San Martino Museum of Religious Art displays historical artifacts and artworks connected to the basilica's heritage since 1994.

The sacristies, built in 1676, contain sculptures, frescoes, and stucco decorations that form an integral part of the religious art museum.
