Museo Nazionale Atestino

The National Atestino Museum holds 65,000 historical artifacts arranged chronologically across eleven exhibition halls documenting regional development from prehistoric times through Roman periods.

Founded in 1834 as a Civic Lapidary Museum, the institution relocated to Palazzo Mocenigo in 1902, a 16th-century building incorporating walls from the medieval Carraresi Castle.

The museum presents extensive collections of ancient Venetian ceremonial objects, burial furnishings, and domestic items that reveal the customs of early civilizations in the region.

Located at Via Guido Negri 9/c in Este, the museum offers wheelchair access throughout its 890 square meters of exhibition space containing thousands of archaeological findings.

Three rooms in the Piano Nobile contain original 17th-century frescoes by Giulio Carpioni, adding architectural significance to the archaeological collections.
