Museum of Saludecio and Blessed Amato, Religious art museum in Saludecio, Italy.
The Museum of Saludecio and Blessed Amato displays sacred furnishings, silverware, and liturgical objects from regional places of worship across about 350 square meters. The exhibition space holds paintings, sculptures, and religious artifacts that document the artistic and spiritual heritage of the area.
The museum opened in November 2001 in a building designed by architect Giuseppe Achilli in the 18th century, positioned next to the San Biagio parish church. The institution was created to preserve and share the religious and artistic treasures collected from the surrounding region.
The collection displays works by regional artists from the 17th and 18th centuries, showing how creative traditions developed in this part of Italy. Paintings and sculptures by Centino, Guido Cagnacci, Claudio Ridolfi, and Sante Braschi reflect the artistic life that once flourished here.
Entry is free for all visitors, and the building features wheelchair accessibility throughout so that everyone can view the collections. Plan your visit on a quieter weekday if you prefer to spend time with the exhibits without crowds.
A small chapel houses an ancient tree trunk connected to Blessed Amato Ronconi, the patron saint of Saludecio. This quiet sanctuary gives insight into how local people honor their spiritual heritage and local traditions.
