Castello D'Alessandro, Medieval castle in Pescolanciano, Italy.

The D'Alessandro Castle rises on a rocky spur, featuring defensive walls, a courtyard, and residential quarters with a private chapel inside the complex.

Construction of the fortress began in the 7th century during the Lombard period, later transforming into a ducal residence under the D'Alessandro family in 1654.

The castle chapel houses the relics of Saint Alexander of Bergamo, which arrived from Rome with papal authorization in 1673.

The castle stands at coordinates 41°40′46.39″N 14°20′17.27″E and requires advance reservations for visits through the local cultural center.

During World War II, a German chaplain prevented the castle's destruction by citing the presence of Saint Alexander's relics within its walls.
