Vöraner Seilbahn, Aerial lift between Burgstall and Vöran, Italy
The Vöraner Seilbahn is an aerial cable car that links Burgstall in the valley with Vöran on the mountain. The system spans approximately 930 meters to bridge the two communities.
The current system was installed in 2017 by Doppelmayr Italia GmbH to replace an older cable car. This upgrade significantly improved the link between the two communities.
The cable car connects people to a high plateau where locals and visitors go for outdoor activities and mountain experiences. The ride itself has become a part of how communities move between the valley and their mountain homes or leisure spots.
The cable car carries up to 35 passengers per cabin and runs approximately every 20 minutes between stations. Operating times vary by weekday and weekend, running from early morning through evening.
The plateau you reach receives noticeably more sunlight than the surrounding valley regions. This extra sun exposure creates a milder microclimate at that elevation compared to lower areas.
