The church celebrates the Nativity of Virgin Mary on September 8, following traditions based on the Protogospel of James about Mary's birth in Jerusalem.
The church remains open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with visits to the bell tower and organ balcony available through advance reservations.
The main altar, created by Cipriano Beltramelli in 1741, stands in the raised presbytery alongside a notable painting of Saint John the Baptist by Jean Claret.
