Nativity of Mary church

The Nativity of Mary Church displays a neogothic facade and contains three naves of equal height inside, topped by a detailed reticulated vault. A 54-meter bell tower stands beside it as a prominent landmark in Pergine Valsugana.

The earliest known record dates to 1183, showing the church has served the community since medieval times. In 1785 it transferred from the Diocese of Feltre to the Diocese of Trento, a significant shift in administrative jurisdiction.

The name honors the birth of Mary, reflecting deep devotion to the Virgin Mary that has shaped the community's spiritual life for centuries. Religious artworks throughout the interior reveal how central this place remains to local faith and worship practices today.

The church sits prominently in central Pergine Valsugana, with the tall bell tower making it easy to spot from a distance. Visitors can best appreciate the architectural details by taking time to walk around the exterior and observe the neogothic design.

The bell tower was built between 1511 and 1518 and still holds its original 18th century bells, some of which survived the conflicts of the 20th century. These historic bells offer visitors today a rare glimpse into the craftsmanship and continuity of the place across generations.
