Castle of Roddi, Medieval castle in Roddi, Italy.

Castle of Roddi is a medieval fortress on a hilltop in Piedmont with a rectangular layout, three stories, and two round towers. The structure offers views of the surrounding countryside and allows visitors to explore the various rooms and their original furnishings.

The original fortification was built in the 11th century and underwent major renovation and expansion by the Falletti family in the 14th century. The castle later came under the control of Count Gaio Francesco della Mirandola.

The castle preserves decorations from the 14th and 15th centuries, including wooden coffered ceilings and the original 16th-century kitchen. These rooms show how noble families lived and prepared meals here.

Guided tours allow visitors to explore the castle interior and understand the structure and purpose of each room. It is advisable to wear sturdy footwear since the castle sits on a hillside with stairs to navigate.

The castle houses an Alba white truffle cooking school, linking historical architecture with regional culinary traditions. This connection allows visitors to experience how the site bridges past and present through food and cooking.
