Visitazione di Maria Vergine Church

The Visitazione di Maria Vergine Church is a parish church in Roccavione featuring a Neo-Renaissance facade with two orders and side sections adorned with scrollwork. The interior follows a classical layout with a central nave and multiple altars arranged along the walls.

The first mention of a church at this site dates to 1345, when it belonged to the Cuneo parish within the Diocese of Asti. The current structure was built later, reflecting the Neo-Renaissance architectural style of the region.

The central nave displays late 19th-century decorations by local painter Giovanni Battista Arnaud, reflecting regional artistic traditions of that period. These works remain visible today and show the artistic activity that flourished in the area.

The church is located on Piazza San Magno and accessible at street level from the provincial road SP108. Visitors should plan their visit during the open hours, as the main entrances are easy to reach.

The church houses a baptistery from 1564 that was decorated with stucco work during the 19th century. This blend of historical periods shows how the building was continuously updated and adapted over time.
