Tōkaichiba Station, Railway station in Midori Ward of Yokohama, Japan
Tōkaichiba is a railway station with two tracks elevated above ground, featuring an island platform in the middle where passengers board trains. The station building sits directly beneath the overhead railway structure and provides access to the platform via stairs and escalators.
The station opened on April 1, 1979, operating under the Japanese National Railways system. It transitioned to East Japan Railway Company management following the national railway restructuring in 1987.
The station maintains traditional Japanese railway practices with punctual service schedules and dedicated platform markings for organized passenger queuing systems.
Access to the platform is provided through fixed stairs and escalators from the station building located below the tracks. The station operates during regular service hours and connects with local bus routes nearby for onward travel.
The station received the designation code JH20 during the implementation of the systematic station numbering project in August 2016.
