Saiko Lake, Lake in Yamanashi, Japan
Saiko Lake is one of the Fuji Five Lakes, located in southern Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount Fuji, Japan.
It was formed by a landslide that blocked the Sakawa River during an eruption of Mount Fuji.
The lake is popular for fishing, boating, and camping, and it's surrounded by campgrounds and resort hotels.
The best time to visit Saiko Lake is from late April to early November when the weather is warm and the scenery is at its most beautiful.
Aokigahara forest, also known as the Sea of Trees, lies to the northwest of the lake.
