Fujikawaguchiko, Mountain resort town in Minamitsuru district, Japan.
Fujikawaguchiko encompasses three of the Fuji Five Lakes: Kawaguchi, Sai, and Shoji, with a total area of 158 square kilometers at Mount Fuji foothills.
The town emerged from the 2003 merger of Kawaguchiko with Katsuyama and Ashiwada villages, creating a unified municipality in the Minamitsuru district.
The Kojo Festival at Oike Park features winter fireworks displays, while the Autumn Leaves Festival celebrates seasonal changes with local traditions.
Eight public elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one high school serve the population of 26,542 residents across 10,618 households.
Lake Saiko contains the only population of kunimasu fish in the world, making it an important location for biological research and conservation.
