Fuji-Q Highland

Fuji-Q Highland is an amusement park in Fujiyoshida, Japan, set at the base of Mount Fuji and known for record-breaking roller coasters and themed areas catering to all ages. The park divides into several zones offering rides of varying intensity, family entertainment options, and facilities for both thrill-seekers and young children.

The park opened in 1964 and evolved from a smaller facility into a center for extreme rides over the following decades. The FUJIYAMA roller coaster, launched in 1996, brought global attention with its height and speed records at the time.

Thomas Land section brings British railway stories to Japanese audiences through rides and activities designed for young visitors.

Visitors can choose between individual ride tickets and full-day passes, with passes offering access to all attractions without additional charges. Main rides draw longer wait times on weekends and holidays, while weekdays tend to be quieter.

The Takabisha roller coaster includes a drop with a 121-degree angle, surpassing all other coasters worldwide in this category. This section sends riders nearly vertical and creates a feeling of freefall for several seconds.
