Kintai Bridge, Wooden arch bridge in Japan
The Kintai Bridge is a historical wooden arch bridge, in the city of Iwakuni, in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.
Originally built in 1673, the bridge was destroyed several times by floods and was last rebuilt in 1953.
The bridge is considered a symbol of the city and it's a popular spot during cherry blossom season.
Visitors can cross the bridge for a small fee, which goes towards its maintenance.
The bridge consists of five wooden arches, making it an unusual and distinctive structure.
