Kumatori, Administrative town in Sennan district, Japan.
Kumatori extends over 17.24 square kilometers of land, forming a leaf-shaped territory with mountains in the east and rivers flowing toward Osaka Bay.
The area appears in the Nihon Kōki records from 804 AD as an imperial hunting ground before becoming an official town in 1951.
The textile industry of Kumatori developed during the Meiji period, with cotton cloth production becoming a central economic activity for local residents.
The town maintains a population of 43,154 residents across 18,377 households, creating a density of 2,500 people per square kilometer.
Kumatori Station records nearly 11,000 daily passengers and connects to Kansai International Airport through its position on the Hanwa Line.
