Kumatori, Administrative town in Sennan district, Japan.
Kumatori is a town in Sennan district with a leaf-shaped landscape featuring mountains in the east and rivers flowing toward Osaka Bay. The terrain blends higher elevations with flatter areas that open toward the water.
The area was known as an imperial hunting ground in 804 before developing into the town it is today. It became an officially recognized administrative town in 1951.
Textile production shaped the town's identity, with cotton cloth becoming central to the local economy during the Meiji period. Walking through the streets, you can still notice older structures and shops that reflect this industrial heritage.
The town is served by the Hanwa Line railway, which provides connections to surrounding areas and major centers. The station serves as an important transit hub for many commuters.
The station serves as a key connection point for travelers heading to the nearby international airport. This role transforms the location into more than just a local community.
