Kaizuka, Industrial port city in Osaka Prefecture, Japan
Kaizuka extends along Osaka Bay with the Kogi River flowing through its center and mountains rising in the eastern portion of the city.
The area transformed from an Ishiyama Hongan-ji stronghold during the Sengoku period to become an established town in Minami District in 1889.
The city maintains a tradition of crafting wooden combs from boxwood, which represents a significant part of local artisanal production.
Visitors can access tourist information and rent bicycles at Human Station Kaizuka, located directly across from Kaizuka Station on the Nankai Main Line.
Local farmers cultivate specialized vegetables including butterbur and mizunasu eggplant, contributing to the regional agricultural distinctiveness.
