Vavuniya District

Vavuniya District is an administrative area in Sri Lanka's Northern Province that covers a large territory. It is divided into four administrative subdivisions, each with its own local government structure and villages.

The area was administratively reorganized during British rule in the 19th century and linked with neighboring regions. These administrative changes formed the basis for how the Northern Province is structured today.
