Siesikai Castle, Renaissance castle on Lake Siesikai, Lithuania.

The residential castle presents two preserved towers with shooting openings, surrounded by water-filled moats and defensive ramparts on three sides.

Gabrielius Daumantas-Siesickis initiated the construction of Siesikai Castle in the 16th century, establishing a fortified residence for his noble family.

The interior walls display paintings from the mid-17th century depicting ancient mythology themes based on engravings by Italian artist Antonio Tempesta.

The first floor welcomes visitors for guided tours while restoration work continues on the second floor of this national architectural monument.

The strategic positioning of windows and doors creates light patterns during solstices and equinoxes, reflecting Renaissance Neoplatonic design principles.
