Verkiai Regional Park, Regional park in Verkiai district, Lithuania
Verkiai Regional Park spans 2,673 hectares of land, with forests covering more than three-quarters of the territory and numerous lakes dotting the landscape.
The park administration operates from the Small Palace pavilion, which Lithuanian architect Laurynas Gucevicius designed in the classical architectural style.
The Verkiai Calvary, completed in 1669, contains 22 chapels and 7 gates that replicate the exact measurements and geography of Jerusalem's sacred path.
Located 10 kilometers from central Vilnius, visitors can reach the park through regular bus services or by car with designated parking areas.
The Green Lakes within the park maintain their distinct color throughout the year due to the mineral composition of the underwater soil.
