Church of the Discovery of the Holy Cross in Šeduva

The Church of the Discovery of the Holy Cross stands with a cruciform plan, decorated with five altars and a bell tower built in the 18th century.

In 1643, Bishop Jurgis Tiškevičius of Vilnius funded the construction of this brick church, replacing an earlier wooden structure from the early 16th century.

The church combines Renaissance and Baroque architectural elements, featuring a Latin cross layout with a central nave leading to a high presbytery and semicircular apse.

Located 18 kilometers east of Radviliškis, the church serves as the main Catholic place of worship for the local community of Šeduva.

The church maintains its original late Baroque interior design with six altars crafted from multicolored artificial marble and intricate stucco decorations.
