Church of the Assumption, Salantai

The Church of the Assumption features two 70-meter towers with high spires, a rosette window above the main portal, and pointed-arched windows throughout the structure.

Built between 1906 and 1911 under architect Karl Eduard Strandmann's design, this stone church replaced two previous wooden structures from 1630 and 1724.

The church contains five wooden altars displaying regional craftsmanship, along with a 1623 painting of Saint Mary with Child recognized for religious importance.

Located at Dariaus ir Girėno Street 10 in Salantai, the church measures 50.7 meters in length and 22.4 meters in width with 58.5-meter towers.

The building follows a Latin cross floor plan with cross vaults and ribs, combining pseudo-basilica sanctuary design with Swedish-Lithuanian architectural elements.
